Layla fifth day after arriving.

As you can see the basic shape is there, but no muscle as yet. She has been hacked four times and today was the first attempt at schooling, C's position isn't wonderful at times as she had the jumping saddle on, the dressage one needs adjustment to fit.
She was super in the school (pics follow), she had a fair old buck when she first cantered but I growled and she stopped!
Considering this is only the fifth time C has schooled her and this was a new place, she was incredibly good.
She got clipped today despite the now obvious case of ringworm she has (our vet said it wouldn't matter and would make it easier to get at the fungus) and was as good as gold. C left half her face on as it's easier not to traumatise them the first time, next clip she will probably clip her head out.
I can't tell you how pleased we are with this horse, already she has learned to ford our deep river, open gates with ease, and is such a nice personality.
We can't wait to start eventing her hopefully next Spring.
A vid will be posted on H and H later. Posted by Picasa
