Time to meet your half sister! Izzie follows like a dog, so no headcollar needed.. Posted by Picasa

Did I really call this foal ugly?!! Posted by Picasa

This shows the huge discrepancy in size between the bottle fed foal and the other one..Though Toby will of course be around 16 hh plus, the other foal will end up a TB build of 15.2h.h. toby wasn't amused and tried to run away when Izzie attempted to see if he had anything to drink! Posted by Picasa

Isabella with my wonderful neighbour from next door, growing well on her diet of two hourly bottles plus ad lib hard feed mixed with alfa A. Posted by Picasa

Bum scratching is a good way to make foals tame! Posted by Picasa

Toby, who now promises to be dark bay or bay roan.. Posted by Picasa

It's made a bit of a mess of the drive, which looks strange without the post and rail, the new fence goes up shortly. Posted by Picasa

Arena a few hours before rideable, the surface is superb, the heavy rain made it easy to track the material down. Posted by Picasa

This is at William Fox Pitt's clinic, they had a super time and brought home a CD of all the fences they jumped. I think he is probably in a home for life, they are very pleased with him. Posted by Picasa

Minstrel qualifying for the World of Colour Champs recently, this is the judge riding him. Posted by Picasa

Toby, starting to show his potential, after this morning sad events, I thought a pic of him would show there is much to be thankful for. Posted by Picasa

Fast asleep early this morning, and out of pain for a little while. (jethro) Posted by Picasa

sadly we had to euthanise Jethro as it became obvious the antibiotics weren't winning. His end was totally peaceful and the vet did a post mortem to see what was going on. His hock infection had cleared completely, but the infection had tracked to his shoulder joint and it was full of pus, so we did the right thing. Posted by Picasa

Ready for the membrane and sleepers tomorrow. Posted by Picasa

Caroline was 17 today, but I don't think this was quite the transport she was hoping to get for her birthday... (she spent hours levelling the stone on the arena) Posted by Picasa

We have constructed the big bank on the left as a traditional Devon bank which will have a hedge on top, it will provide a wind break and privacy. This is our soil after the topsoil has been removed, it is free draining and rarely gets muddy. Posted by Picasa

Our arena is taking shape, the stone started to arrive today, membrane tomorrow and sand in a couple of days time. Sleepers haven't appeared yet so can't do more than lay the stone for now. Posted by Picasa

Perhaps the duckling is turning into a swan.. He is a huge foal but today is drinking well and the back end is functioning too (too well he may yet need some foal kaolin...). Posted by Picasa

I don't think this latest boy will win any beauty contests, admittedly he is standing at a funny angle, but his head is long, his bum is flat...Ooooerrr what on earth shall we call him, an alien name? Spocky? Quite the funniest looking apart from Badger who resembled a hereford cow we have ever had, but then again, look at Badger jumping in the archives, nothing wrong with his ability... Posted by Picasa

Well I would show you the new colt foal but as of yet, he hasn't stood still long enough to get a pic..... Posted by Picasa
