His costume was hand stitched by me this morning and as you can see, it slipped round a bit! Posted by Picasa


His job as marshal is to make the crowds move out of the way in the narrow streets, as Bert refuses to do anything but go sideways the whole way so he can keep an eye on the varying monsters behind him, it works very well. Posted by Picasa


August 2005. This is Ambertson (Bert) leading the Moretonhampstead carnival procession which this year included two steam rollers issuing loud whistles and clouds of steam, a rocket which let off explosions every few seconds, plus the usual 58 floats, Scots Pipe Band and the Ebony Steel Band..  Posted by Picasa
