Just keeping an eye out for any more injections....

Isabella at 5 months old. (October)

She hasn't caught up as you can see from the still present fluffy foal coat, but her hernia has been dealt with (all that's left is a lump of skin under her tummy which should drop off eventually) and she has unlimited energy! Posted by Picasa

Isabella and her yearling sister Tally

Don't be fooled by the scraggy appearance!

He may not look anything much now, but at four years old this will be a stunning horse, at 16.2.h.h and with a "Look at me!" attitude. He was gelded last week and has recovered really well. Posted by Picasa

Jezebel

Jez is shaping up well, already she is as tall as her yearling companion, yet his sire and dam are much bigger.. Posted by Picasa

Tally who has benefitted from stealing Isabella's feeds!

One of the reasons we have spent so much time and money on Izzie is because her full sister is so good. Tally in the flesh looks like a two year old, and if Izzie turns out half as nice we will be happy. Posted by Picasa

If you knew how many gallons of milk this has taken...

She is now down to 14 pints a day which is supplemented by ad lib food. Posted by Picasa

Isabella at last looking like a normal foal..

Ambertson, our senior stallion, this is a favourite photo, as I think it shows his character so well. Posted by Picasa

Blame the photographer for not getting him in the centre of the frame, it does show his paces have become much more active and straighter with work. He had to contend with a half built fence lying round the arena plus piles of fencing posts everywhere, good training for future dressage arena boards! Posted by Picasa

Monty starting to show some better trot paces, the plan is to do some Hunter trials this winter then start him in Intro towards the end of summer 2006. Posted by Picasa

Monty during today's schooling session. His rider needs to sit back more and ride him from behind, but at least he concentrates now. Posted by Picasa
